Changes by Zijian: retained only simplified/traditional spellings and HSK levels;
combined duplicate spellings using the lowest listed level; omitted definitions,
pronunciation, examples and audio. No endorsement is implied.

Two distinct lists: legacy HSK 2.0 (1–6) and HSK 3.0 (2025 exam syllabus,
1–6 and combined 7–9). A missing entry means “not listed”; it does not prove
that a word is harder than the exam or unimportant. Listed levels refer to
spellings, not a context-sensitive analysis of a word's sense.
